Since joining Barnfield Studio School from Barnfield West Academy I’ve come to recognise and fully appreciate the value and relevance to students of the personalised provision and opportunity which the Studio School provides.

Our unique 14 – 19 provision, whilst having a focus on preparing young people for the world of work and developing those key business and entrepreneurial skills, also ensures that students leave us having achieved the highest levels of academic attainment in English, Maths, Science and Business of which they are capable.

As a studio school within the Barnfield Federation we hold an advantageous position in being able to deliver a unique range of vocational experiences leading to Level 1 & 2 qualifications, including Catering, Hair, Construction, Mechanics and Plumbing, to name a few. Combine these elements with additional BTEC qualifications in a selection of subjects, weekly real work placements – paid at post 16 level, in addition to a project-based style of learning, and you can appreciate the difference and uniqueness of the Studio School experience.
