Uniform List

 

Introduction 

 

All Barnfield Studio School students are expected to dress in a manner which reflects the ethos and values of the Studio School and which is appropriate for both work and learning.

Students must be in uniform at all times. All staff are responsible for ensuring this is the case. 

 

Girls and Boys Uniform

 

Barnfield Studio School uniform consists of the following compulsory items:

 

White shirt

Studio School tie *

Grey trousers or skirt *

Grey Jacket *

Black jumper or tank top embroidered with the Barnfield Studio School logo *

Black Shoes

 

* Items of uniform which can only be purchased through the Studio School.

 

There are opportunities to purchase uniform through the School Office (Mrs J Price) at various points throughout the year – without incurring delivery cost. Orders placed for single or multiple items, may incur a nominal delivery charge.

 

Students will also be permitted and encouraged to wear a sensible, black outdoor coat as/when appropriate. Please note that hooded tops and denim jackets are not be permitted, and all outdoor coats must be removed on entry to classrooms, workshops and other work spaces.

 

Baseball caps are not to be worn at any time. Trainers may only be worn during PE sessions.

 

PE Kit

 

White polo shirt

Black shorts/sports skirt or tracksuit bottoms

White socks/black football socks (dependent on activity)

Trainers/football boots (dependent on activity)

 

Jewellery

 

The only items of jewellery permitted in the Studio School will be a wrist watch and a single pair of ear studs. Please note that these items will need to be removed for all PE sessions and a number of other practical based activities.

 

All other items, including facial piercings, are not allowed to be worn in the Studio School under any circumstances.

 

Hair Colour and Style


Whilst the Studio School does not want to prevent students from expressing themselves as individuals, the business-like and professional ethos of the Studio School must be maintained at all times. With this in mind students will not be permitted to dye their hair unnatural colours (red, blue, green etc) nor to have highly decorative patterns cut into their hair (eg spider webs etc).
